my 10 rules for living

1. Always try to do my best at anything I attempt.- I believe in this because if you don’t try what you attempt to do you will never have goals to set for yourself in life and you wont go anywhere.
2. Respect my parent even into their elderly stages of their life.- I believe in this because they are doing and will continue to do anything to make my life easier weather it be taking me somewhere or giving me something and letting me hang out with friends.
3. Keep my friends that I have and will gain when I get out of high school.- Because without my friends I would be very lonely and then when you get invited to a high school reunion or college reunion people probably wont remember you and your close friends will be mad at you for not staying in touch with them and not talking to them anymore.
4. Try to give the one lunch lady who looks like she did jail time a bad day because she always gets me in trouble for anything I do. Until I get out of high school then I will move on.- I believe in this because she always gets me in trouble for anything I do like if I give my friend a high five she sends me to the office or if I tap on the table when I’m eating not even hard she will get me suspended from the lunch room so I believe she is in a bad mood already why not make it funny.
5. Try to cook dinner once or twice for my family.- I believe in this because my parents are really good cooks and I have learned from them and they have taught me so actually they make me cook a meal for dinner or something usually on Fridays if I am home because I love cooking and I’m not that bad of a cook.
6. Try to do as best as I can in school.- I believe in this because my parents dropped out of college and didn’t get a real good education because they didn’t care back then so they are pressuring me and my older sister to do our best in school so we can get better jobs in the struggling economy.
7. Try to do something nice everyday for my mom- I believe in this because my mom is my hero and she is always there for me no matter what I do even if I mess up and she knows it she will protect me from my dad because we have a special bond between us and I hope that it will never go away even when we get older.
8. In the summer try to get decent family time in when my friends aren’t over.- Try to spend time with my family instead of never being home like I was the past summer and really never saw my parents or sister unless I was at home which was very rare and it made my parents a little upset because they wanted to see me.
Don’t criticize anyone because you could have done the exact same thing as them.-If you make fun of someone for being different or doing something dumb you really could have been the exact same way as that person and you could have done that same stupid thing but they just beat you to doing it
9. Don’t do anything to stupid that would lose my respect not only with my friends but with my family.- I don’t want to do something stupid that would make my family not look at me the same way they used to and ruin the trust that I had established with them all this time and then blow it in one stupid decision or choice.
The reason I chose these daily basic rules for living is because I believe in them 100 percent every rule I believe in maybe not 4 though. I especially believe in number 7 because my mom is the best and I love her to death she supports me in any of my choices and backs me up anytime my dad yells at me, we have a special bond that will be there for my life even when she is gone. All the other rules I find true because when I build up those skills they are not only good people skills but they are other confidence builders and that is what employers are looking for these days.
